# upAPI > An API marketplace and gateway. One API key and one pooled quota call every > operation in the catalog — social media, search, maps, finance, developer > tools, file and browser operations — over a single uniform HTTP contract, so > integrating the tenth API costs no more than the first. ## Calling an API Every operation is one POST, authenticated with one header: POST https://api.upapi.io/{slug} X-Api-Key: Content-Type: application/json { ...operation input... } - `{slug}` is the operation id from the catalog, e.g. `ip-geolocation.get`. - The request body is the operation's input schema; the response body is its output schema.
